It is quite humbling to think that the God of heaven, Who created all of the universe and everything in it, knows my name and where I was born. The LORD records as He registers the people, “This one was born there.” When we are struggling or grieving and feel alone, this verse reminds us that God KNOWS us.
More than knowing us, God loves us – no matter where we are or how far we may have strayed from His presence. Be sure that you know the God who knows you. Lean on His strength and trust in His love for you. My husband of almost 29 years passed away from cancer in November 2020. Throughout his struggle with cancer, I felt an incredible peace that I could not explain. As I continued to examine it, I realized the peace was NOT of my own doing, but a gift from God that countless people were asking for on my behalf. God was answering THEIR prayers for peace for ME.
Even though I felt lonely, God never left me, and continued to make His presence known through the expressions of friends and loved ones. Let God give you the peace you are seeking.”
