Psalm 147:3 – “Complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.” |
We are a family. We have one Father and must strive to please Him in all that we do.
For those of us who are parents, we know the joy that comes with our kids getting along with each other. God feels that way with us. He wants us to love and care for each other.
When we fight with other Christians, whether it is our spouse, or anyone else, there leaves a foothold for the devil to step in. Before we know it, our house is filled with tension, anger, stress, bitterness and unforgiveness. Everyone is unhappy and nobody is feeling the joy of life.
Who are you when you are angry to the very core of your being? Are you able to honor God through your anger? Are you using Scripture as the basis of your behavior? Are you open to finding common ground so that things don’t continue to escalate?
Let me encourage you to stay faithful to the Lord with a loving and forgiving attitude towards others. After all, we want the Lord to forgive us the same way we forgive others.
