Trust – Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust
Trust concept. Trust switch knob on maximum position.
Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

The start of a new year is a fantastic opportunity, either for beginning new habits or reestablishing some solid ones we have allowed to fall to the wayside. One of those habits is growing in our relationship with the LORD. Today’s text provides us with several dynamic ways of doing just that.

The first of these is making the decision to fully trust Him. This means regardless of how we feel or what is going on around us, we will not be swayed from believing He is in control and will take care of us. Trusting Him can include making the choice to seek His counsel and wait on Him – instead of charging ahead depending only on our finite understanding and abilities.

Growing in relationship with Him also means trusting Him with all of our plans, problems and perplexing situations. As we do so, we gain hope and confidence to move forward on the path on which He has placed us.

Dear God, thank you for your love and kindness. Please guide me to mirror your eternal spirit to those around me, just as you have blessed me; help me to be a source of help and a blessing to others. In Jesus name, Amen.
