Luke 12:7 – “Yes, God even knows how many hairs you have on your head.” |
Checking Instagram, Tic Toc, or another online source constantly? Trying to model yourself to dress, act, look, speak, or cook like an ‘influencer’ to define or change yourself? How’s that working for you??
Good News!! YOU are NOT alone! A lot of us are going through or have gone through unusual ways of trying to answer this intrinsic question of “who am I’ While electronic media just delays us, there is an answer.
In Jeremiah 1:5, God tells Jeremiah “Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you…”. Got has known each of us since that time before our births as well! Jesus tells us more in Luke 12:7 that as we grow and age, God continues to know all about us. In fact, we are each so valuable to God that He knows the number of hairs on our heads! Let me remind you that the number of hairs on our head God lovingly numbers, change not only daily-but often many times during Each day!!
In Samuel 16 the Lord says to Samuel that “the Lord does not see as humans see; they look on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart”. Acts 15:8-9 reports God knows the heart of every person, and Psalms 44:21 adds the information God even knows the secrets of our hearts.
So, the great news about God knowing you and me so very intimately from before birth until now is that if we do as Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, that is, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight”, we will become the best version of ourself and no longer seek to copy another person. Instead, we can find peace and contentment in being the real person God has purposefully made.
