God hears our cries. He protects us in times of need. Psalm 140 speaks to the evil that exists in the world, as David pleads with the Lord to protect him from his enemies. Throughout each trial that David faces, he always trusts in the Lord to bring him through. He also keeps his eyes set on the Kingdom, remembering that one day he will dwell with the Lord for eternity. One of my biggest struggles is getting caught up in what is going on in the world around me. The trials of today can seem big, but I know that God’s power is greater. When I choose to trust him with each trial, as David does, I am met with comfort and peace.
